Original Compositions
I wrote my first two compositions at age 9, a song and an impressionistic piano piece. Composing is my favorite thing to do, and tunes for the harp, as any harp player knows, seem to arise from the harp itself. I’ve been given wonderful encouragement to write for voice by Patrick Michaels, composer and minister of music at St. James’s Episcopal Church in Cambridge, MA, and my collaboration with master storyteller Diane Edgecomb has helped me invent tunes to accompany her beautiful stories. Here are some of my compositions for you to enjoy.
